Marilyn commissioned Jean Louis to make the famous “naked dress” for the JFK birthday celebration in 1962. She wanted to shine in the spotlight, & asked him to design something “historic” for her that would show off her slim figure and wow the crowd.

Marilyn cut ¼ inch off one heel to help her “wiggle”.

Its where she first “met” Michelangelo, Raphael, & Goya – her favorite artist. “We have the same dreams” – she said about his Demon series of works.
